Creole Seasoning Rub for the Big Green Egg

We love a good creole seasoning rub.  We have found that creole seasoning can be super delicious on a wide spread of dishes including turkeys and NOLA themed fare.  We first encountered creole seasoning on a less then expected plate: smoked turkey on the big green egg.

The Ingredients

  • 1⁄4 cup salt
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 5 teaspoons granulated garlic
  • 4 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley

Combine all ingredients using a fork or other suitable stirring device until well combined.  Another great trick here would be to place all ingredients in an airtight container and shake.   Creole rub stored in an airtight container can last for up to 3 months.
